Attorney requirements:*
- They must have been actively licensed to practice law for at least 3 years(1).
- They must remain in good standing to practice law in the state(s) in which they are licensed to practice law.
- They must carry minimum levels of malpractice insurance. The AARP Legal Services Network requires that each attorney carry malpractice insurance in limits of at least $100,000 per claim and $300,000 aggregate.
- They must be engaged full time in the practice of law.
